Converting From Petroleum Motor Oil To Synthetic Motor Oil
Q. Is it true that installing AMSOIL or other synthetic oils will cause my engine to leak oil?
A. In modern vehicles, there is no risk of AMSOIL motor oil leaking. In fact, AMSOIL motor oil is fully
compatible with modern seal materials. It is properly formulated to condition seals, keeping them
pliable to prevent leakage.
Q. Is it true that installing AMSOIL or other synthetic oils will cause my engine to leak oil?
A. In modern vehicles, there is no risk of AMSOIL motor oil leaking. In fact, AMSOIL motor oil is fully

50,000 miles on it. I have heard that synthetics might clean the engine and cause plugging of the oil
filter and passageways. Is this true?
A. Absolutely not. Switching from petroleum oil to AMSOIL in routinely maintained vehicles will not
cause clogged oil filters or passageways, regardless of mileage. Sludge, which is caused by poor
quality oil and neglected maintenance practices, would have to be present in significant amounts to
plug oil filters and passageways. If this excessive amount of sludge is present in an engine, it is just
a matter of time before oil filters and passageways clog, regardless of the installation of AMSOIL.

| I have used AMSOIL for over a decade now... I have consistently gotten better fuel mileage, I don't change oil using AMSOIL'S ultra fine less than one micron Ea Nano Fiber bypass filtration system. I simply change the nano fiber full flow and bypass filter once a year and add enough AMSOIL oil to bring the level back to full. Over 40% of total energy loss in an automatic transmission can be attributed to
the act of pumping automatic transmission fluid to the transmission's working
components during transfer of power.
The mechanical efficiency of an automatic transmission is directly affected by the viscosity
of the transmission fluid. When temperatures drop and cause ATF two thicken,
transmission efficiency and power decline. Industry test on torque loss demonstrate

I have the AMSOIL Ultra Fine Bypass Filtration system on my 2002 Dodge Ram H.O. Diesel and my 2002
Jeep Wrangler X (6 cylinder).
I don't regularly change oil, I just change the filters plus 2 quarts of top-off oil every year or 25,000 miles on
my Jeep and every six months or 15,000 miles on my Dodge Ram Diesel. I then change the entire system
at 100,000 miles, based on oil analysis.
When using AMSOIL engine oils, the oil must be changed in accordance with AMSOIL’s recommended
oil change interval that is outlined on the product label. Oil drain intervals may be extended further with oil
analysis.
